Francis
is nine years old. He goes to school just as any normal boy or girl does. As he
cannot see, he uses book with raised dots on the pages. These are called “
Braille books” , specially for people who are blind. How do the blind read?
They read with their fingers instead of with their eyes. Francis uses his
finger s to fell the raised dots. You may wonder how he writes! He does so with
a Braille machine, he types his work on this machine and hands the work in to
his teacher.
Francis is not at all
helpless, he finds way round the school with the use of his hands. He counts
the doors that he has to pass. He is quite clever at it and does not have much
difficulty in finding his way.

because he is such a well-behaved boy. He studied very hard for he wants to be
